I wanted to first say thank you, and how truly blessed I am to be apart of this special
High School Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. I wanted to magnify exactly what I see for our future here at CHCA. I want a pipeline from the middle school all the way up to the Jr. High. Those kids need to see my face, and feel our passion that we are going to set for years to come. The passion that I am talking about is first and foremost Jesus Christ. The passion that we have for him will overflow into how we play basketball. Our culture is how we are going to glorify him, and how we will win on a consistent basis. I want OUR kids to stay in our system and culture. Something they can’t wait to be apart of when they get to the High School level. My passion will be to have the middle school and Jr. High kids to already feel like they are apart of the culture that we are building at the High School level. I look forward to seeing you at those youth games, and coming to the High School games. We are in this together and I am very excited where we are going.

Coach Lawhon look forward to seeing you there!
Click on Coach name to email with questions. Thank you.
Coach Lawhon’s most recent experience was at the collegiate level, where he spent nine years coaching at Bellarmine University, Wilmington College (where he coached Basketball and Tennis), and most recently Kennesaw State. Prior to that he spent five years coaching high school basketball at Indian Hill and Lakota East, where he helped lead the teams to GMC and D1 championships. Lawhon was also an outstanding collegiate basketball player as a four-year starter, playing in the Sweet 16 at the NCAA tournament, finishing off his college career with numerous personal accomplishments and an overall record of 92-33.
Lawhon shares that his goal is “to continue a winning tradition with faith, loyalty, and responsibility which prepares young men for life after high school.” CHCA Athletic Director Matt Coleman stated, “Brian brings such passion and enthusiasm for the game of basketball and with his experience at both the high school and collegiate level, Brian will help move our basketball program to the next level. Brian brings strong faith, commitment, and knowledge of the game to CHCA with the goal of developing young men beyond the game of basketball. We are excited to have him join Eagle Nation!”
Coach Lawhon’s extensive experience will add much value in taking CHCA’s basketball program to the next level. We look forward to seeing him raise the bar on our program.
More details will be forthcoming regarding an opportunity to meet Coache Lawhon in the very near future, as well as hear his plans for the next season.
Please join us in welcoming this new talent to the CHCA family.
